Mrs Lottie M. Nichols, 77, died at 12:28 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Verl (Anna) Washburn, 68 Byron St., following an illness of seven weeks. She had lived here for 33 years. Mrs. Nichols was born in Pavilion Township, Kalamazoo County, on Nov. 2, 1880, the daughter of Myron and Rowena (Hoard) Blodgett. She was married in Scotts on Dec. 31, 1896 to James H. Nichols who died April 13, 1940. Mrs. Nichols is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Edna) Ferrin of Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Edwin (Ethel) Zabonick of Coldwater and Mrs. Charles (Gertrude) Bower of Kalamazoo; three sons, Charles of Kalamazoo; Nelson (Pat) Nichols of 331 S.W. Capital ave. and Stanley L. of the Byron avenue address; a brother, Frank Blodgett of Grand Rapids; a half sister, Mrs. Bertha Sowles of Jackson; 16 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
