Head of this second household, Joseph Kirby, is a minister and was born in Indiana. Kirby relatives, perhaps?

Both Carrie and Joseph show their mother's birthplace as New York. I'm not certain which person is the actual cousin to Joseph. I suspect that it is William Russell. On this same census, Joseph identifies his age at the time of his first marriage as 45 years. Also, he is shown as a veteran of the Civil War.
