He was the son of DANIEL MERRIETTE and MARTHE NICOLLE. He married JANE WALLER 08 Oct 1813 in Guernsey Co., Ohio, daughter of JESSE WALLER and MARY FARLEY. She was born Abt. 1796 in Pennsylvania, and died 14 Aug 1838 in Ohio.
