4.  JONATHAN2 DELANO (PHILIPPE1) was born Abt. 1647 in Duxbury, Plymouth, Mass., and died 23 Dec 1720 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Mass.. He is the son of PHILIPPE DELANO and HESTER DEWSBERY.  He married MERCY WARREN 28 Feb 1677/78 in Plymouth, Mass., daughter of NATHANIEL WARREN and SARAH WALKER.  She was born 20 Feb 1657/58 in Plymouth, Mass, and died 06 Nov 1727 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Mass..

  Jonathan Delano, fifth son of Philip and Hester (Dewsbery) Delano, was born 1647, in Duxbury, and was one of the original proprietors of Dartmouth, residing in that portion which is now Fairhaven, where he died December 23, 1720.  By deed of confirmation from Governor Bradford, November 13, 1694, in right of his father in the township he became possessed of about eight hundred acres and resided near the brook of Tusket Hill, or Wasquatucket, where he built a mill.  He served as constable, surveyor, commissioner, selectman and was deputy from Dartmouth in 1689.  He was commissioned Lieutenant, December 25, 1689, by Governor Hinkley ...

  He married in Plymouth, February 28, 1678, Mercy, daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah (Walker) Warren, and granddaughter of Richard Warren of  the Mayflower colony.

Notes for MERCEY WARREN:

  Mercy Warren is granddaughter of Richard Warren of the Mayflower Colony.  Richard Warren sailed to America in 1620  on the "Mayflower".  He was later joined by his wife and daughters who sailed in 1623 on the "Anne and Little James".

  In Plymouth, Mass., two sons were born to Richard and Elizabeth [Walker] Warren; Nathaniel and Joseph Warren.  Richard and Elizabeth's five daughters who sailed on the "Anne and Little James" were probably born in England.
